SAFETY & COMPLIANCE COORDINATOR
Join our Safety team as a Safety & Compliance Coordinator. You'll develop and implement safety programs, conduct driver training, monitor FMCSA compliance, and help maintain our strong safety culture. This is a leadership opportunity to make a direct impact on driver wellness and fleet safety metrics.
Job duties
- Develop and deliver driver safety training programs (HOS, vehicle inspections, defensive driving)
- Monitor FMCSA BASIC scores and develop corrective action plans
- Conduct post-accident investigations and root-cause analysis
- Ensure DOT compliance including driver record maintenance
- Track and analyze safety metrics (accidents, violations, near-misses)
- Maintain and audit vehicle inspection records and PTI compliance
- Coordinate safety audits and work with management on compliance issues
- Prepare safety reports for management and regulatory agencies
Minimum requirements
- Required qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in fleet safety, compliance, or transportation safety
- Strong knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations and Hours of Service (HOS)
- Excellent communication and training abilities
- Proficiency with safety software and data analysis tools
- Ability to investigate incidents and identify patterns
- Preferred qualifications
- ASP (Associate Safety Professional) certification or pursuing
- Experience with BASIC/CSA program management
- Prior truck driver experience
- Experience presenting to groups and conducting training
